Research Theme Coordinator

  This is an exciting post to be involved in the Biomedical Research Centre in Mental Health (BRC-MH) at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. We are looking for a person interested in research to Coordinate the Patient and Carer Involvement Theme (maudsleybrc.nihr.ac.uk) which takes the service user point of view in research so that it easily translates into beneficial clinical care. In addition to specific mental health research, the post-holder will help to facilitate and develop patient and public involvement across the BRC-MH.

Qualifications

  • PhD or other relevant post-graduate qualification
  • Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences or related discipline
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of research design, writing protocols and make appropriate analyses
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Conditions of employment

  • Salary: £38,304 – £45,026/£46,292 – £54,534 including London Weighting. Grade 6 or grade 7, depending on experience
  • This post will be offered on an a fixed-term contract for 2 years
  • This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent
