Two Postdoctoral Positions – Affective /Decision Neuroscience

Job specification: The project involves task development, computational modelling, and testing the models in healthy and highly anxious individuals. Besides making use of various brain imaging techniques (e.g. fMRI and MEG) to investigate the neural basis of approach-avoidance decisions, you will work on causal interventions using brain stimulation (TMS, tACS and DBS) and pharmacological interventions in healthy and patient samples. With this we aim to manipulate current psychophysiological states that may affect decision making under acute threat. Ultimately we want to contribute to a better understanding of the neurocognitive basis of passive and active avoidance in healthy and anxious individuals, and to provide starting points for personalised interventions to alleviate persistent avoidance in anxiety patients.
