| Job specification: | Successful candidates will join efforts to understand mechanisms of neuronal control of breathing, focusing on the role of inhibitory neurons and astrocytes. Our established experimental approaches include two-photon-microscopy and neurophysiology, pharmacology immunohistochemistry as well as optogenetics.
A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in neuroscience or neurophysiology is required at the time of appointment. Successful candidates are expected to participate in experimental design, data collection, analysis and interpretation, preparation of oral and written scientific reports. Exceptional resources will be available at the University of Göttingen including a rich collaborative environment. The group is part of the Cluster of Excellence/DFG Research Center Nanoscale Microscopy and Molecular Physiology of the Brain (CNMPB). |
