Job specification: The multidisciplinary research project “How Early Psychosocial Environment Affects Compassion: A 31-years Long Prospective Cohort Study on the Development of Dispositional Compassion” hires a Post doctoral researcher beginning in 1st February, 2019 (There is some room for negotiation regarding the starting date). The project examines childhood and adulthood factors affecting the development of compassion and whether genes moderate the effects of psychosocial factors to adulthood compassion. The project also investigates associations of compassion with well-being and health. The project uses population-based longitudinal data from the Young Finns Study. The data collection began in 1980 and included over 3500 Finnish children and adolescents from different parts of Finland. Several follow-ups have been conducted over 31 years.
