Postdoctoral researcher with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Apply before: April 22nd, 2018
Institute: University of Cambridge (UK)
Job specification: We are seeking a Postdoctoral researcher with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or the cognitive neuroscience of receptive language processing and/or using neural or physiological measures (e.g. electroencephalography (EEG), pupilometry, galvanic skin response) to index cognition.

The post-holder will work under a new stream of research lead by Dr. Alexandra Woolgar aiming to derive objective measures of cognition in individuals who struggle to communicate their ability through behaviour. In particular, we seek to identify neural markers of receptive language in individual children and apply it to examine abilities that may otherwise be hidden in minimally-verbal children with ASD.

The position would suit an applicant with passion for exploiting cognitive neuroscientific methods to answer important questions about cognition in children and in clinical populations.
