| Job specification: | The position is devoted to the Center for Lifespan Changes in Brain and Cognition (LCBC), and is announced as part of the University of Oslo´s initiative to create a world-leading group in cognitive neuroscience lifespan research. The goal of LCBC is to understand brain and cognitive changes and how to optimize them through the entire lifespan, from prenatal stage to old age. LCBC has excellent expertise on imaging and cognition, but lacks specific competence in genetics and epigenetics, which we envision can take LCBC to a new level when combined with our present resources. The position is for six years, after which an evaluation is performed, eventually leading to a faculty position given successful completion of a set of specified criteria. The position comes with much flexibility in building the genetics/epigenetics group within the LCBC research scope, and with funding for post docs/PhD students, travel and equipment. |
