  • Do you want to help investigate the effectiveness of a new intervention to help socially anxious youth and gain research experience?
  • The department of Developmental Psychology is looking for a student or research-assistant who can help with a youth intervention named ‘The Power of Positive Peers for Socially anxious Youth’.
  • The tasks include
    • Fine-tuning the intervention for the age group;
    • Recording short films of young adolescents for use in the intervention;
    • Assisting with the recruitment of a school in the Leiden area and adolescents between 12 and 14 years (1st and 2nd year secondary school);
    • Data collection at FSW;
    • Communication with the school/schools throughout the project.
  • They are looking for a Dutch speaking current or just graduated master student who has a strong affinity with scientific research and working with young adolescents.
  • They offer a 0,2 FTE position for up to 9 months.
  • A proactive attitude and good social and communication skills are desired.
