PhD Student – The power of diversity

Job specification: The objective of this research project is to investigate which factors contribute to a successful management of the diversity that is present within universities of technology. Academic leadership has a primary role to play to generate the advantages of diversity. With the project we want to investigate how this can be achieved. New ways will be developed and tested to achieve a culture change within the academic context. In this respect we are thinking of developing, giving and evaluating trainings focusing on the daily processes and interactions of employees among themselves and between themselves and their supervisors. These factors will be investigated by means of various field and experimental studies, in which we will look at both the daily processes at as well as the processes that develop over a longer period of time.
