Job specification: | We seek applications from candidates with an innovative research focus at a systems level spanning from cellular and molecular neurobiology to animal cognition and behavior. Candidates using modern technological approaches to gain a mechanistic understanding of nervous system development and function are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates with a strong interest in comparative approaches including “non-model species” would be a particularly good fit. To help build bridges to the cognitive sciences, study species could include organisms with complex behaviour (e.g. fish, birds or cephalopods); potential research areas could include the neuronal and sensory basis of animal-environmental interactions or social cognition and communication. |
